What do you want in FREE advertising? Buckets of money!
Try paying for ads in a local paper, which will give you something to cry about.
Most, not all people on the Internet are just looking out of curiosity, passing time.
Others want the stuff so cheap; I think they are reselling on eBay, or to friends.
The ones I hate the most are the ones that ask dumb questions, like: How much, when it’s posted in the ad, or how many of my rooms will that Oak Flooring cover? Dah! Like I know your room sizes? The more emails they send, the more I am assured they will not attend.
I maintain a email list of over 4,000+ people, all wanting info on my demolition sales. Less than 1% ever show up. It’s a number’s game.
My hats off to CraigsList, Kijiji, and any other free local Classified’s out there.
Thank You!
Kevin

I think it depends on what ppl r looking for. Personally I have been looking for a certain puppy for months and all I get are scammers. They ruin it for all the honest ppl here, it's hard to trust anyone now. I have antiques listed as well and priced way under actual value. I got two replies on it, one was across the country and wanted it without seeing it, offering to pay for shipping and all I had to do was take his cashiers check to the bank and pay the shipping company via western union with the excess money he sends. (Duhhhhhhh)
The other one I think was a legit buyer but he wanted it at a much more reduced price....
I think it works for some people but so far all I get are ppl who want to take advantage of me. Like I said, they ruin it for the rest of us. BUT, with that being said I think it's awesome to find free advertising.

Scammers Suck!
Here’s what I have done when I think it’s a scammer, and believe EVERYONE should do this:
Except and agree to there offer, do as they say, to a point!
They will then send you the fake check by UPS overnight or 2nd day air.
This COST Them Money, so screw then 1st.
If you have to sign for it, refuse it!
If you don’t have to sign for it, except it.
Open & view the contents, compare the check to the return address.
Most are from 2 different states, names don’t match, or other BS.
Their checks look good, but don’t fall for that.
NEVER deposit the check, & Never ever send money by Western Union to someone you don’t personally know. If by chance you like to send money, give me a call. LOL
Also note: as long as you don’t deposit or try to cash the check, you have not done anything wrong.
They will be pissed off, and send you threaten emails saying they are going to turn you into to the FBI or local police. Criminals don’t contact law enforcement; it’s part of their BS.
I even had one call me on the phone. Boy, they don’t like to get burned! You’ll never hear from them again. This just might prevent them from ripping someone else off.
So waste some time on them, and burn them into going straight. |
