Heres Some Things to Think About When You Purchase Your Next Vehicle:
REMEMBER I AM A DEALER I DO THIS FOR A LIVING, ITS NOT EVERYDAY YOU BUY A CAR BUT IT IS EVERYDAY I SELL ONE!
Becareful of Dealers who do not post their prices on their vehicles, how do you know you got a great deal if you didn't know what the price was to begin with.
We sell metal not money, Dealers really don't have too much control over the intrest rate you qualify for, thats the banks job not ours, So go to a bank and get an intrest rate, credit unions usually do the best with rates, then when you find the car your ready to purchase see what that dealer has to offer you, a few points could save you thousands.
DONT PULL YOUR CREDIT EVERYWHERE YOU GO! This can have a dramatic effect on your score. Pull it NO MORE than 3 times in a month! OR YOUR SCORE WILL GO DOWN!
Shopping your trade is a good idea, look up the trade value on KBB and then deduct for any damage you have, NO CARS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, if you believe your car is your probably wrong, wear and tear is normal and ok but unless your cars has absolutley no dings, dents, damage, leaks, noises and a brand new tires brakes inspection and etc it is not in excellent condition, in 2 years of this ive only seen 1 trade that was in excellent condition. Also if a dealer will not right you a check for your trade value they're probably just over allowing you, this makes you pay more taxes and is lying. So when they say your car is worth x amount of dollars ask them if they will write you a check for that amount if they say no then they are probably over allowing you.
Keep in mind that a salesperson is not always evil. I myself am very laid back and low pressure but they're are some that are high pressure. I understand that you don't want to be pushed but treating someone you've never met before terribly just because they are doing their job is wrong. Give them a chance then make your judgement, if they bother you find some else to work with that best suites you and you feel comfortable with.
When looking for a good sales person Keep in mind that before the sale is one thing and after the sale is another, you need a saleperson that will look out for you after the fact as well as before.
Don't lie about things to salespersons, we need the correct information to help you.
I hope these short tips help you with a smoother car buying expierence and anything i can do for you (including help you with a car) feel free to email repost or call.

PART of the problem is that the customers with great credit have more leverage. while someone with good to bad credit is at the mercy of the dealereship.
I usually get my financing ahead of time, to put me in a better position.
i still appreciate the sales tips though.
any new shed salemen out there
lol

| I appreciate the feed back on the post, and as far as the guy who sez its a different story if i had you on the lot, your the type of guy who's so scared i got some magic buy dust that you create that image before you meet me. Thats exactly what im talking about, dont knock it til you try it kinda thing, YES THERE ARE SNAKES OUT THERE, but i am not one of them and the very few that come to this dealership dont last long, but i am doing my job and im not here for my health, so i do want to make money but i will earn that money by treating my customers with the upmost respect and help them not selling them, the only thing i sell is my self and my services. |
