It might be a good idea when an listed item is finally sold, that the origional ad stay active with a large " sold" over the ad for a period of... lets say 48 hours. This lets those people who were considering making a offer for an item know that the item was sold.
Now, when a person listing an item sells the item, the ad disappears immediately when the seller deletes the ad. People considering buying the item then have to search through many ads for several times before they realize the item was sold.
This also might also let other sellers realize that items are in fact being sold instead of just being viewed by people browsing the ads but not intending to buy. |

thanks for the suggestion! I know alot of people fail to remember to take down their ads when something is sold, and it makes it very hard to know what has and hasn't, and whether we can do it ourselves. If anyone inquires about an item that is listed and finds out it is sold, a quick email to us to let us know so we can take it down is most appreciative! I like your idea of the sold stamp too
cheers,

Maybe I'm a little to late in posting a comment, but don't you think it's the Person who post(s) is responsible in removing their Ads on this site? I mean it's only fair that we carry on our own responsiblity.
The people that I got the dog from removed it right away, so I don't think it's that hard. |

I do agree that people should be responsible for their ads. It isn't hard, but some people just aren't technically advanced, and get easily frustrated, so I'd rather just be notified so I can take it down than have it left up and have people think it's still available. But yes removing an ad is very simple!
