I don't think she is an activist. I think she's just asking questions.
When you say that she is just an activist, it is the typical defense of someone that has something to hide. |

She was just asking you what your screening process was. I didn't see her going on and on.
I think people are just quick to get defensive. |

She asked me the other the why I thought breeding dogs to make your living was wrong. I answered her politly why I felt that way and only would support responsible breeders she then came back and called be a shelter freak. |

Why are you-Sara so agianst people about making a living on breedong dogs??No different than breeding cattle for a living or cats, fish it is no different. My husband works to pay alot of our bills, the little money that I make go right back in the dogs and pays for groceries to feed my family. My family comes first which do include my dogs.I went to the rescue site, there were alot of cats.

Sieberts, I would not support a dog breeder who breeds dogs for the purpose of making money. If I want a certain breed of dog I want to find a breeder who competes with there dogs. Someone who is active in their breed club. I want to find someone who is motivated by the love of the breed and not by money. Otherwise I would go to a shelter or rescue.
I dont compare raising cattle or fish to breeding dogs. Dogs are companion animals. I'd like to know how someone can think they are doing no wrong by pumping out pups for profit when we are millions of dogs and puppies being euthinized becouse there are not enough homes.
sieberts, would you like to point out where you feel I was not polite? |

I think its sad. I think cats should be spayed/neutered unless your a cat fancier showing your cat.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but from your posts it seems you feel like other animals get put to sleep becouse of overbreeding so why should you care if your part of the problem or not.
Also,Its seems you cant answer a question. |

| I totally agree, it is rude for people to say they are coming and then never show up or show up really late. It seems like this is happening more and more these days! In my opinion it is totally up to you when you want people to come, I would try to make it convenient for both of you but definately not wait around all day! If they can't commit to showing up when they say they will, how are they going to handle the responsibility of having a puppy? I personally would never tell someone I am coming or just show up at a house to look at the puppies unless I was serious about it. I also try to make the puppies look nice before they go to a new home, as a courtesy nothing else. |

I had some one the last couple days BEGGING me to drop my price.
The first email (ofcourse full of misspelled words/typos and improper grammer) she asked if I would drop my price to $125 "please please pretty please she would be a wonderful home"
So I explained that doesn't come close to the amount of money I have already put into the puppies, that she should do some research, save her money and look into a rescue for a chi at a lower price.
She then responded with How about $190 "I have two cats and a baby chihuahua already I promise to be a good home" (ofcourse I have edited the outrageous amount of typose out of for yall cause it was so bad I could hardly figure out half the things she said) "If so where can we meet?"
First of my ad has my prices second it states they aren't ready to leave yet and I am taking $200 deposits only.
I politely replied that I was unwilling to lower my prices
In circumstances where I feel I have found the perfect match for a puppy I will drop the price or take a smaller deposit but COME ON $190 that's almost insulting.... |
