New to Kijiji and smarter for it

Hi, Everybody!!
I'm new to Kijiji but I have gotten a good old fashion lesson in common sense. I heard of Kijiji from some friends and thought I might have found Have the perfect place to find a free toy puppy for a companion. I am a former foster parent of more than 100 children (most were drug babies) and I guess I just forgot how cold people can be for a minute. I have not been contacted by anyone serious yet. I have received several replies from places outside of Oklahoma who aren't interested in finding a good (free) home for their "Puppies", they are interested in receiving my money for so called "shipping fees". I don't think if I send shipping fees that I will ever receive the puppies they claim to have. Cameroon and Amsterdam,NY seem to be the favorite places for this latest scam. How cruel could you be. I place these people in the same category as puppymills. Just heartless. I can't believe that there isn't one tiny free puppy in Oklahoma City that doesn't need a wonderful loving home. I keep hearing of all the dogs that need homes and I am terribly dissapointed that none of those puppy parents have responded. I have received pictures of beautiful yorkie puppies that I know will never be shipped to me if I send money. Thank you guys so much for having such informative discussion topics which much to my relief I read through before ever receiving my first reply. They gave me necessary guidelines that I needed to spot a SCAMMER. I believe in human kindness and won't give up my search. I know my puppy is out there...

Stay away from those scammers. They'll be emailing you next. I finally emailed one guy back and told him since my husband works for the FBI he should send me the dog first THEN I would send him the money.

Haven't had one email since thank God.

Call your vets in OKC they may know of someone. What kind of puppy are you looking for ? Male or female matter? Age? Do you have kids now?

If I know these things I can check here in Duncan for you.

I can understand your frustration 100%. However shipping packages especially animals are not cheap these days so you have to keep that in mind if you find a puppy outside your state. Just becareful and be sure to come up with a direct agreement and share several conversations with ther person via email so you have proof incase they end up trying to scam you. Make sure to obtain they're name, phone number and address. Good luck and don't give up just yet. Also if you know anyone looking for some geckos please direct them to me.
