The good word says that patience is a virtue and I truly believe that it couldn't be stressed enough. Some folk will wear your patience all the way to the ground and then smush it down.
When they see that you're getting flustered, then they wonder what is wrong with you. How do you handle a person whose emotional plane is going up and down like a teeter-totter? Especially if that person is a close family member?; and especially when you know that it is a mental issue that requires med. which they refuse to take?
Love them, and put them into the hands of God and leave them there! That's all you can do

Hummm,
I can't say that I totally agree. You know, I believe that anything that one puts a value on is worth waiting for. Oh, you could try to rush things, but the end result would not be the same. In my situation, I consider the mind to be invaluable and I know from past experience what God can do. I have seen with my own eyes the healings of God on people that I know have had sicknesses.
I believe that as long as you have taken all of the steps necessary steps to achieve a positive end, then the final step is to wait to achieve what you want. Sometimes you may want to throw in the towel, but that would void all of the previous steps you have taken and you would have to start anew. |

| Very good advise. Only the Lord can do what no one else can. Take it from someone that has spent years trying to help those who don't want help. |

I remember alot of times when I helped others, and when it came to me needing them, no one is around.
They knew I was down in the dumps and all they can say is, are you ok?
I needed a place to live and they ask "are you ok?"
I am sometimes ,or do get irritated cause at one point.. I was the People's Bank, the Hotel...and the resturant for those I had helped!
Now I'm trying to establish back my ole' self...I could care less if those don't come around.
And the best part of this is....it's family.
Screwed up... this is how I see it now. No more free bees...at least I can post here for free!
I'm still a mellow person, just once in a while I feel blood boiling that's all! |

Shootportraits, it sounds like you have really been through some things.
I can understand your pain because so have I. But, you know, you would never be able to understand what a person who is in a needful position goes through unless you have been there yourself. Now, it was a wonderful thing what you did when you helped those people out while you were on top of the mountain, but you really still did not understand the emotional pain they were going through when you did help. You helped them out because you had a heart of compassion. Just because your external conditions have changed (you know the finance, or whatever)does not mean that your heart of compassion has changed.
Everybody is just NOT going to be like you are, so that doesn't mean that you have to be like them. Don't stop helping people out, because it is more blessed to give than to receive. You are still alive and have an opportunity to rise up to the top of the mountain once again, but this time you will be a little different because you will understand.
I hope these words will calm the raging sea (smile). |

I attend church, knowing that "my help comes from the Lord" and I just wanted to post a Thanksgiving thanks for your posts.
I was homeless with 3 children out of my very own parents home after a divorce.
now my parents have to live with me in the home God truely provided for us and GOD IS GOOD that He provides everything we need, including patience, power and potency in my healing. |

The person referred to in the original message has finally realized that they were hurting people and voluntarily went to the doctor and found out that they had an inbalance. They have been taking their meds every since.
Now, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!! Just be patient. |

You don't have to apologize jamisord, I know you are a good person.
That's ok, I don't know you either and reading some of your post...seems like you have almost gone through what I have, however it is the past and sometimes when others talk about theirs, seems like I thought I was the only one. Strange but true. |

| HI, Let us remember that Jesus also said that our enemies are those of our own household. That he did not come to bring Peace but s SWORD. The Sword is the WORD of God. Let us also remember that our battle is not agaisnt people ( flesh ) but against satan ; the World; our own Flesh which does not want to be crucified ( Jesus said if we wanted to follow Him ,than we had to pick-up our Cross, deny ourselves and follow Him.) Many times we see the exterior appearances of the person(s) yet we cannot see their heart or their needs. One thing when we ask for patience we are also asking for Trials. |

Patience is of virtue in many cases, in others it is not! Speaking of religion. Jesus Christ threw 3 unruly men out of a gathering where he was sharing the word in the King James version Bible. Some issues require and warrant for immediate action reaction. Even though our Creator wants us to choose meekness, he still wants us to be self protective and use defense when needed. To say in this life, well let them do as they may and i will just hand it all to God is false, our creator wants us to help ourselves if he is to help us.
Now for someone who is supposed to be on Medication as you outlined. I would have them either get back on the Med treatments or get rid of them or i would rid myself of them! The Lord also said..many times we must wipe the soil from our shoes and not look back! These sound like hard equasions, but in this life we cannot let people hold us back psychologically or physically or we will have empty hands as well.
