Since these pups are all reserved or sold months ago, this is NOT advertising... I simply want to share some very cute pictures of Labradoodle pups out of my own dogs. One of the frequent complaints about Labradoodles is the lack of consistency in their appearance... Considering how similar these 2 litters look, I don't agree with that complaint.These are all f1 Labradoodles... the differences are naturally more when you try to compare different generations, which is what I think people are doing and not understanding. What complicates things even more is that there are mini and standard Labradoodles based on which size Poodle is used. All of these factors need to be considered when you're doing comparisons and looking for standards.
These pups were from last fall at 4 weeks of age..
These very similar looking pups are from the current litter at 4 weeks.

| I think I saw those adorable pups in another post on here. I thought they where lab puppies. They are those famouse Doodles. THEY ARE GORGOUS. The ones I see here look more poodle then lab....I love yours they are adorable. |

As pups most look very lab like with waves to their coat. Like a poodle, they continue to grow a longer coat as they mature. Even the most lab-like of mine get the beard and facial hair... and by the time they're a few months old, they're like this:
until as adults, like THIS:
A more labby one at 7 months looks like this:
You can still see the beard and longer facial hair coming in, but he definitely has more the lab-type coat.
ALL these pups started out looking like baby labs with waves.ALL are F1's
I'm not trying to say Labradoodles are a breed yet, because they're NOT.
But several breeds have variations, such as the different sizes in poodles and beagles. Some have coat differences like the St Bernard or collies that can be rough or smooth. It's for these reasons that it's frustrating to hear about the lack of a breed standard... When you look at the whole picture there are many approved breeds that also have variations. |

| The, last pup you show, looks like my old dog Scruffy,I saved him from the pound at 15 years of age. He sure was a sweety but a trouble maker too! RIP |

Aghhhh that must be it. I see the adult ones because the ones I have seen look more like the black one. They are gorgous no matter which way...more lab or more poodle looking. I really do think they are beautiful and I think if the right breeders keep working on them they will be a breed someday.
I had a cockerpoo as a child (you know that childhood dog) and if I saw another one it would come home with me without a second thought.

I like the color!
I'm hoping between you and I that we can spread the truth about our beloved hybrids. Not everyone's going to like them... but the more people understand, the better it is for all. There are just too many misconceptions and snap judgments related to them. At least if people know the facts they can criticize them legitimately. lol |

Yes I know, trust me I know 
That is why I jumped at the chance to visit with another careing breeder.
I think in the case of the Doodles as with other breeds people jump in to try and make big bucks and give us all a bad name.
I have many happy puppy owners and am really picky about who takes them. |

I dare bet you know this already... based on your breed of choice... but for those who don't...
It's the smart dogs that DO become the trouble makers if they're not kept challenged or busy. You can put a dumb dog on a chain in the back yard and they'll not be happy, but but they'll actually survive better than an extremely smart one would. A smart dog can actually lose it's sanity or becomes a total nuisance coming up with ways to entertain themselves. (Not usually in ways you want them to)
Both Labs and poodles are very high in intelligence, so these are dogs that need training, human interaction, and discipline. Without it they simply become unhappy trouble makers. |
