I need help! I have two 10 week old Maltese pups and am trying to train them on the pads. The female uses it most of the time. The male uses it about 50% of the time. But I have two problems that I need help solving. The first is how to get them to stop shredding the pads! And, second, does anyone know of a brand that really is leakproof?
Thanks! |

My sister and I both had horrible luck with the pee pads. Her Yorkie just shredded them into a thousand pieces. My two would use them faithly, sometimes their aim wasn't good but they went to the spot the papers were in and did their thing.
But when we decided to pull the papers up and stop using them They just continued to go to the same spot and pee / poop on the floor. They also would only use their pad one time. They refused to use a "dirty" pad so it got quite expensive. |

MAYBE YOU OUGHT TO TRY SPRAYING THE PEEPAD WITH BITTER APPLE SPRAY.THIS SPRAY HAS A NASTY TASTE AND MIGHT STOP THEM FROM DOING THAT. |

| It was my sister's yorkie who ripped them up. But my demon dog Katy loves to chew on my power strip. Of course I don't let her but if that stuff really works I'll some. |

I bought the holder, but my two puppies work together to get it apart! Then they use it as a bed! I am soooo frustrated! But then I remind myself that it took two or three years to housebreak each of my children.

| I think sometimes its just the dogs.I have some puppies that wont tear them up then others that do,so if they do I quit using them.I tried the liter box but had no luck they liked to sleep in it.I just have dog doors,I like them the best and I think it teaches them to know to go in and out. |

| I love the doggy doors but all of our doors are glass so it wouldn't be so easy to install in a glass door would it? |
